Today's fire ground is not the same as those of the past. Lighter weight building materials makes for structures that can be more unstable and require quick changes in response. The new Fire Eagle® Air sets the standard for the modern day firefighter. Lighter in weight and slimmer in design than all of its predecesors, the Fire Eagle® Air has an athletic fit and feel, yet offers the highest degree of protection when on the frontline of a firefight. Fire Eagle® Air will keep you lighter and quicker on your feet and more responsive to the fire. From the very first step in the Fire Eagle® Air you will feel that rare combination of comfort and safety that is the hallmark of a HAIX® boot.

Innovative Sole Design

The Fire Eagle® Air's innovative athletic sole is highly slip resistant whether on water, ice, or snow. The newly developed 2 component tread features additional grip elements that offer outstanding stability no matter what conditions you may encounter. Superior traction equals greater flexibility to react to the changing conditions of a fire.

The dual color sole offers superior shock absorption and phenomenal heat and cold insulation. The unique signal yellow color used in the sole gives you increased visibility when crawling, even in the smokiest conditions. You also have the added benefit of a built in boot jack at the back to make getting your boots off as easy as 1-2-3.

HAIX® Ankle Flex System for Feet and Ankle Support

Unlike other pull on bunker boots that can feel loose and sloppy over time, the Fire Eagle® Air includes the HAIX® developed Ankle Flex System which offers a phenomenal fit with quick in and out capabilities. The interior elastic components throughout the ankle area offers a snug fit that will support your feet and ankles, so no more worries of twisting your ankle when running with equipment or jumping off the fire truck. The Ankle Flex System enables the boot to adjust to different foot, ankle, and heel shapes for a more custom fit. The integrated flex zones that surround the ankle ensures you have flexibility and freedom of movement when kneeling or driving.

The bright yellow elements on the outside of the boot is the "light in the dark" for a firefighter. Not only does the yellow coloring make you more visible to your fellow firefighters, the yellow on the toe cap helps you to be able to see where you are placing your feet in a dark or smoky environment. And as always, the Fire Eagle® has Sun Reflect incorporated into the leather so that your boots and your feet stay cooler in bright sunlight.

CROSSTECH® and Secura Liner® Protected

Underneath the hydrophobic and breathable leather is a Crosstech inner liner is waterproof, and provides added protection from chemicals and bloodborne pathogens. The nature of your job as a firefighter can entail unforeseen physical challenges, from climbing multiple flights of stairs in full turnout gear, dragging a victim to safety, or dragging heavy hose. You need gear that will handle any situation, providing much needed protection, but also giving you the support and agility you need to safely accomplish the task at hand. The HAIX® Fire Hero Xtreme, our most popular firefighting boot, will do that and more.

Extremely Slip Resistant with Polyurethane Foam Soles

It’s highly slip resistant sole allows you to get into the action even if it's on water, ice, or snow. Together with the honeycomb tread pattern and yellow suction cups, the boots offer excellent traction on slick and wet surfaces.
Climbing up ladder rungs can be the norm during fire operations and with ladder bar treads in the joint area, you can focus better on the emergency knowing your boots have added stability. The polyurethane foam is injected into the sole cavity, offers shock absorption and phenomenal heat and cold insulation. Because as a firefighter, you never know where you're going to be and how bad the situation will be.
And because the HAIX® Fire Hero Xtreme sole is self-cleaning, oil and fuel resistant, and non-chalky it requires minimal maintenance. The added benefit of a built in boot jack at the back, makes getting your boots off as easy as 1-2-3.

Ankle Flex System for Feet and Ankle Support

The HAIX® Ankle Flex System, and the interior elastic components, offers a snug fit that will support your feet and ankles, so you don’t have to worry about twisting your ankle when running or jumping off the fire truck. The integrated flex zones that surround the ankle ensures you have flexibility and freedom of movement when kneeling or driving. The Ankle Flex System enables the boot to adjust to different foot, ankle, and heel shapes for a more custom fit. The added Ankle Protector helps to prevent ankle injuries from sudden blows.

CROSSTECH® and Secura Liner® Protected

HAIX® Fire Hero Xtreme is European made and built with only quality European leather and unique HAIX® features. And with its CROSSTECH® inner liner you not only get a boot that's waterproof, but you get added protection from chemicals and bloodborne pathogens.
Our unique Secura Liner® feature will make sure you won't have the "liner pull out" you can experience with other fire boots. Nothing more frustrating than having your boot liner come out with your foot every time you take your boots off.

HAIX® Climate System and HAIX Sun Reflect Leather

The HAIX® Climate System that comes with the Fire Hero Xtreme ensures that your feet stay at a comfortable temperature no matter what. It keeps feet cooler during warmer temperatures and warmer during colder temperatures. Don't worry about having to stand in the hot sun all day either. The HAIX® Sun Reflect leather protects the boot by reflecting direct sunlight so your feet don't get too hot even on the hottest of days.

Comfortable Bootstraps and Padded Shin

The larger bootstraps are strategically placed below the topline of the Fire Hero Xtreme boot in order to protect the calf from the rubbing you can experience with other manufacturer’s longer bootstraps. And with its padded shin protection, you can lean on ladder rungs all day long and barrel through low obstacles without any worry of injury.

The uniquely designed Vibram® rubber sole offers a stable non-slip sole edge so you can keep your footing even when on slick terrain. The Missoula cement sole construction is heat rated to 573°F so you won’t experience sole melt or delamination when conditions start to heat up. Anatomically constructed and built with a lightweight composite toe, HAIX® Airpower XR1 boots give your feet plenty of room to move around while protecting them from toe impact and compression because there is nothing worse than a protective toe that pinches or restricts your movement.

Built in Arch Support

The HAIX® Airpower XR1's built in arch support provides much needed support to the arch, which takes the brunt of the pressure when standing. Proper support of the arch helps to prevent foot pain when on your feet all day and possible foot problems later on.
The newly developed cushioned insole offers the ultimate in comfort, especially when combined with the built in arch support. And with the laced in zipper system, any firefighter can adjust the lacing for a more personal fit while enjoying the benefits of a quick in and out boot. Because on the job, seconds matter.

Waterproof and Sun Reflect technology

The HAIX® Airpower XR1 is both waterproof and breathable with the added benefit of chemical and bloodborne pathogen protection. Working in tandem with the HAIX® climate system, your feet will stay dry, comfortable, and protected –even in times of extreme exposure to water.

The Airpower XR1 offers all of the HAIX® quality you have come to expect for long lasting comfort and durability. The all leather upper material uses Sun Reflect technology which reduces the solar heating effect and keeps feet cool by reflecting the sun’s rays.

Heat Resistant

Because the soles, heels, and uppers are also heat resistant, it is less likely to lead to boot separation which is a very common case in firefighting situations. Heat resistance keeps the whole boot functional without melting or delaminating.

Slip Resistant Soles and Quick Drying Insoles

The soles of the HAIX® Airpower XR1 are extremely slip resistant which offers an effective grip when exposed to water and oil. So even when you’re on a rescue and you’re running on tile, hardwood, or linoleum flooring, your shoe will be able to grab hold. The insoles are anatomically formed to deliver a perfect fit and are made to provide excellent moisture absorption and as well as quick drying qualities. When your insoles get completely dirty after long days on duty, all you need to do is throw then in the wash, air dry, and they’ll be ready the next day’s work.

The heat resistant soles of the HAIX Airpower® XR2 are extremely slip resistant as well as resistant to oil and fuel. Accident scenes, especially ones that involve vehicle fires, are not an issue as you don’t have to worry about your soles melting on hot asphalt or worry about exposing your soles to fuel and oil leaks. The insole’s moisture wicking properties guarantee to combat the issue of sweaty feet, especially after a long day on the job. Not only do they help to absorb foot sweat, the antibacterial properties help to fight foot odor and reduce the presence of fungus and bacteria. With comfort cushioning, the separate heel cup aids in keeping your foot in the correct position for foot health. HAIX® insoles and machine washable and quickly air dry so you can get a quick refresh and be back on the job in no time.

Sun Reflect Technology and Secura Liner®

European craftsmanship is unmistakable when you look at this boot. European leather guarantees your boots will stand the test of time. The added Sun Reflect technology in the leather of these safety boots prevents you boots from heating up on you when you are out in the sun. Your feet will feel the difference since cooler leather on the outside translates to cooler feet on the inside.

HAIX®’s patented Secura Liner® feature protects you from the irritation of liner pull out. Your inner liner stays securely in place since it is sealed along with the leather beneath the sole, and is not a “sock” that is glued in under the insole like you see in other boots.
